Of Methods and Madness focuses on issues encountered as I write about The North without access to a substantial reference library. I also consider how the Covid-19 pandemic has shaped the writing process.
A Question of Detail explains my attempts to address events, issues and historical figures that may be unfamiliar to the reader. It also introduces the supplementary sources and reference material accumulated as the project moves forward.
